When abc ivf launched, we were the first clinic in the UK to offer low-cost IVF/assisted fertility. abc ivf was created as an option for individuals and couples who don’t meet the NHS criteria for IVF and are unable to afford fertility treatment otherwise. This came after decades of research by leaders and pioneers in the IVF field, establishing a way to provide fertility care at a lower cost. Since then, we’ve become a well-known brand in the fertility industry, with 16 clinics across the UK.
We are delighted to see that other clinics across the UK have followed suit in trying to make IVF more affordable. It's important when seeking a clinic for fertility treatment to understand the differences between what each low-cost fertility clinic is offering, as they aren't all the same. We’ve put together a guide to help you with your research as you make the decision of who to choose as a low-cost provider, to best meet your fertility goals and needs.
Low-cost IVF criteria
In order to be able to offer treatment at a low cost, clinics have eligibility criteria to ensure treatment is suitable for those patients. This criterion varies across different fertility clinics, for example, some clinics require this to be your first round of IVF in order to be eligible. Our aim at abc ivf is to make our criteria as inclusive as possible. We’re proud to be able to offer treatment to patients up to the age of 39 regardless of having had previous cycles.
Low-cost IVF treatment packages
All low-cost fertility treatment providers use treatment packages with an overall price, including the cost of medication and scans. It's important to have an idea of what type of treatment you require/desire as not all low-cost fertility clinics offer all types of fertility treatment. For example, some clinics only offer IVF with ICSI and IVF with donor sperm.
At abc ivf, we are proud to offer reciprocal IVF/shared motherhood treatment which is suitable for same sex couples who wish to start a family. We also offer egg freezing and egg sharing options.
Low-cost IVF pricing
After your initial scan and consultation, when reviewing the packages which may be the most suitable for you, it’s important to carefully read what is included in the packages in order to make a comparison. Most of these treatment packages are of similar prices across all of the different fertility brands, however, it is important to compare exactly what is in each package to make a true comparison.
At abc ivf we are also delighted to be able to offer our patients payment plan options including 0% from 12 months. If you feel you would benefit from financing options, be aware that only some clinics offer financing options/payment plans.
Initial scan and consultation: You will visit your nearest satellite clinic for an advanced ultrasound scan, your results will be shared with you in a virtual consultation, with one of our fertility nurse consultants.
Low-cost IVF providers near me
Location is an important factor when choosing a low-cost IVF provider, as during treatment you will be required to visit the clinic a number of times. This can be costly and time consuming if the fertility clinic you choose isn’t local to you. We have 16 easily accessible clinics across the UK, but if you live further away, we are able to offer a contribution of £500 (Terms and Conditions apply) towards travel expenses for patients coming from the listed regions:
Newcastle, Exeter, Glasgow, Belfast, Edinburgh, Dublin, Truro and Dorchester.

Ultimately the decision you make about which low-cost IVF provider to choose for your treatment is an entirely personal one, based on your individual needs and circumstances. However, it is important to take into consideration these factors to ensure you are as comfortable and confident as possible as you take the next steps in your fertility journey. If you have any questions about low-cost IVF providers or the treatments offered at abc ivf, you can contact a member of our team, who will be happy who will be happy to provide information and guidance towards your next steps.
