CREATE Fertility and abc ivf were last night recognised by the Spectator Economic Innovator of the Year Awards 2020, taking home the award for the London and South East region in recognition of our work fighting for safer and more affordable IVF treatment.
Our win came in an incredibly competitive category with 12 finalists spanning health, education, charity and financial sectors: all delivering innovative solutions and making vital contributions to human progress and problem solving. We shared the award jointly with end of life specialists, Farewill.
The judges praised our founders for building a business with genuine social purpose in reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burden for those going through IVF treatment. They also specifically commended the passionate work we have undertaken to encourage others to provide the safest and most affordable IVF possible.
The award ceremony was this year held online, in partnership with sponsor Julius Baer, on Spectator TV. Entrants for these awards are innovators from every corner of the UK, and winners must prove they are financially resilient, looking to the future beyond the pandemic and determined to make a positive contribution to human wellbeing.

I have dedicated my career to pioneering milder and safer forms IVF treatment that protect both women undergoing treatment and children born through IVF. It is wonderful to receive this award in recognition of our team’s extreme hard work, and the growing awareness of IVF’s vital role in supporting all women and couples in their journey to becoming parents.”

“We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised by the Spectator as an Economic Innovator, and in amongst such an impressive group of businesses who are all driving change across the UK. Our mission of delivering IVF that is kind to women’s bodies as well as affordable has arguably never been as relevant as it is now. It is never easy to challenge the status quo but it is our sincere hope that milder approaches in IVF become the first option for all women undergoing IVF treatment in the UK. This award recognizes the extremely hard work of all our team in building a business that prioritises patients above all else and delivers positive change within the IVF sector.”
