Alison Tompkins

Alison started her career in fertility in 1998 at the Hallam Medical Centre. During this time IVF was progressing very rapidly and she has worked with many well-known fertility experts.

Alison and her family then relocated to Kent in 1995 and she went on to work as a Fertility Nurse for 22 years. She progressed from Fertility Staff Nurse to Nurse Manager during this time and saw the clinic expand rapidly following the advent of NHS funded treatment. As the clinic grew, Alison learnt to undertake all aspects of fertility scanning and was trained to perform Intra-Uterine Inseminations and was instrumental in developing and subsequently running a Nurse led service.

Over the years Alison has also completed a course at Greenwich University on Understanding Infertility and Managing Fertility, and has also completed courses on developing my management skills. She is extremely happy to be part of the abc ivf team and is passionate about making IVF accessible for more couples than ever before.
