Alisha's IVF story

I have given birth to a very healthy and beautiful baby!

We had been trying to conceive for 8 years before we decided to go through the IVF process. My husband and I weren't eligible for any NHS funded treatment, so we started to save up money in order to start the process privately.

We came to an open evening at the clinic where we spoke to Professor Geeta Nargund about their low cost IVF treatment. She explained it all to us and we decided to go for it. It meant that we would be saving a lot of money and could start the process earlier than we could otherwise, which we were very happy about.

The quality of my treatment was beyond what I expected. Honestly, the medical care was brilliant. All the doctors, nurses and all other staff were so lovely to us and made us feel very happy with the choice we had made.

Every time we went to the clinic, they explained each step of my treatment and we always left the clinic with smiles on our faces and a little more hope.

The treatment itself was very quick, only 2 weeks, and felt really smooth. I felt a mixture of emotions at the time; I was so happy to be able to start treatment right away but was emotional and worried about the outcome. We had been waiting for this moment for so long!

We started the process in December 2016 and I have now given birth to a very healthy and beautiful baby. Our lives have completely changed and we are both so happy and grateful. Words cannot describe what we are feeling!

The most important thing for me, which I want to share with everyone, is that our baby is healthy. We have had many tests done since I found out I was pregnant and they all came out perfect. I had a very healthy pregnancy and a normal birth. Of course, going through IVF is different to conceiving naturally but after my embryo transfer everything was exactly the same.

I would be very happy to recommend this treatment to other couples. IVF is such an expensive process and I know there are many couples like us, for whom money is a very important factor, so I would definitely recommend coming to abc ivf. The medical care is amazing and you could save money. I’m saying this from the heart because I know it’s true. We have a healthy baby and it’s simply been wonderful.
